Meet the Trainer
Averi Rice
Averi has been riding horses since before she could walk and her lifelong passion for the sport shines through in everything she does. She began her equestrian journey in a western saddle, but at the age of 12, she discovered the hunter jumper world, and never looked back.
Averi has successfully competed in the Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation rings, with a particular love for equitation. She believes a strong foundation in equitation builds the skills and discipline needed to succeed in any ring. In addition to her competition experience, Averi also spent several years studying horse judging across multiple disciplines. Her hard work earned her a top 10 score at the San Antonio Horse Judging Contest and a state qualifying team she coached herself.
Averi is passionate about helping riders grow both in and out of the saddle. She’s excited to share her knowledge, experience, and love of horses with students at JAGS Farm and looks forward to working with you!

*All riders are expected to arrive 30 minutes prior to the lesson to get ready prior to the lesson. This would include getting the horse from the paddock, grooming, saddling, and bridling.*

Edie Reiner of Merriman Farms
Edie Reiner is a trainer in Hunter Jumper and has many years of experience with all ages and all levels of expertise. She has a gentle yet firm approach with the horses and kids and is one of the most sought-after trainers in our area. We are blessed to be able to host her at our farm and bring in new families to utilize her services.
